This obituary identifies her maiden and married name, day of death, her birthday and place, her husband's name, their marriage date and place, and her children's names.  There is no occupation, interests or associations.

Violetta Thomsen (1891-1969) was born 9 February 1891 in Alpine, Arizona, the daughter of James Adolph and Sarah Etta (Mortensen) Thomsen.  She died 30 September 1969 in Yreka, California.  She married William Henry Seaver (1883-1977) on 15 March 1909 in Douglas, Arizona.  They had five children:

*  Minna "Minnie" Seaver (1911-2005), married 1936 Warren W. Wells (1913-1994).
*  Melvin Henry Seaver (1917-1954), married 1943 Thelma Sherman (1923-1954).

*  James Vernon Seaver (1934-2015), married 1951 Betty Loyce Burton (1935-????).

I am not related to this Seaver family.  William Henry Seaver is descended from Henry and Elizabeth (--?--) Seaver of Virginia.

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has a great obituary with lots of dates and names.  I am glad that I can honor Violetta(Thomsen) Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
