Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week.
1) Transcribed a probate record for the Amanuensis Monday series -- 1815 Will of William Sever (1743-1815) of Taunton, Massachusetts.
2) Wrote a genealogical sketch for #732 7th great-grandfather John Pray (1653-1733) of Providence, Rhode Island for the 52 Ancestors series.6) AncestryDNA now has 41,601 DNA matches (up 75 from 26 December) for me today, with no new ThruLines. I added 5 Notes to my matches. MyHeritageDNA now has 10,941 DNA matches (up 26 from 26 December) for me, with no new Theories. Reviewed the new DNA matches on AncestryDNA, MyHeritageDNA, FamilyTreeDNA and 23andMe.
8) Used Web Hints and Record Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch to add content and source citations to my RootsMagic profiles. I now have 70,234 persons in my RootsMagic file (up 19 since 26 December), and 145,507 source citations (up 10). I TreeShared 72 new or modified profiles with my Ancestry Member Tree, and I resolved 204 Ancestry Hints. My Ancestry Member Tree has Ancestry Record Hints with 172,789 to be resolved, but I work on them several times a week. I resolved 23 MyHeritage Record Matches, leaving 162,438 Record Matches in 285 sources and I work on them occasionally.
9) Wrote 15 Genea-Musings blog posts last week (Sunday through Saturday), of which three were a press release. The most viewed post last week was Genealogy News Bytes - 21 to 27 December 2022 with over 111 views. Genea-Musings had about 14,400 views last week.
