Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1732 Death of Christopher Champlain (1656-1732) in Westerly, Rhode Island

I looked in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and   genealogy musings for Treasure Chest Thursday.

The treasure today is the 1732 death record of  Christopher Champlain in Westerly, Rhode Island:

The death record is in the middle of the page:

The transcription of this death record is:

"2-124 [CHAMPLAIN] Christopher,  died April 2, 1732.

The source citation for this record is:

James N. Arnold, Vital Record of Rhode Island, 1636-1850, First Series, Births, Marriages and Deaths : a Family Register for the People (Providence, R.I.: Narragansett Historical Publishing Co., 1891-1912), Vol. 5, "Washington County, Births, Marriages, Deaths;" Westerly Births and Deaths, page 87, Christopher Champlain death entry, 2 April 1732; accessed in "Rhode Island, U.S., Vital Extracts, 1636-1899"  collection  on Ancestry.com (https://www.ancestry.com).

This record is a Derivative Source, with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the death of Christopher Champlain. The original record is probably in the Westerly town record book that is not accessible on FamilySearch or no longer may be extant.

Christopher and --?-- (--?--) Champlain  are my 8th great-grandparents. I am descended through their son, William Champlin (1687-1778) who married Joanna --?-- (c1692-c1762) before 1720 in Rhode Island.
