Program Speaker:  Jen Baldwin  on 

"Mapping Your Way Through Your Family History"

We can use maps to tell the story of your ancestral journey, as well as use them as a research tool. Discover amazing online and offline collections that will add great depth to your story no matter where in the United States your ancestors ventured.

Jen Baldwin has been working in the realm of professional genealogy since 2010 but has been pursuing her family history since she was ten years old, enjoying her grandmother's stories - and her cookies. She is currently the Research Specialist and North American Content Manager for Findmypast.

Jen lectures, writes, and consults on a variety of genealogy-related topics, and was part of the research team for Genealogy Roadshow, season two on PBS. She is the author of course materials for the National Institute of Genealogical Studies. She is excited to discover unique resources that allow for a different perspective in genealogical research, including the vast research opportunities for family historians around the world to take advantage of UK collections, such as newspapers and the newly released 1921 Census of England and Wales.

This program will be held online using the Zoom video conferencing platform for Meetings.

Please note that the meeting starts at 12 noon Pacific DaylightTime (3 p.m. Eastern time, 2 p.m. Central time, 1 p.m. Mountain time). The Zoom Meeting room will be open by 11:45 a.m. PdT for visiting and helping attendees connect.

Attendance is free but only 100 Zoom seats are available, so please register soon.

NOTE: The Chula Vista Genealogical Society offers an annual membership of $30. Besides the monthly General Meeting with a program speaker on last Wednesdays, there is a monthly Research Group meeting on second Wednesdays and a DNA Interest Group meeting on third Wednesdays, all at 12 noon Pacific time, plus a monthly 10 page email newsletter chock full of program announcements, research tips and program reviews.
