Chula Vista Genealogical Society Meeting on Wednesday, 10 May Features Mark Olsen on "Family Tree Maker"

Program Speaker:  Mark Olsen  on 

"Introduction to Family Tree Maker"

Join us on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 12p.m. (noon) PDT for a FREE 90 minute introduction and discussion of the current version of Family Tree Maker 2019 on Zoom video conference.

Mark Olsen, the Family Tree Maker Ambassador, will discuss Family Tree Maker and what makes it different than other genealogy products and software. He will take us on a walk through the various family tree building features, from how to get and install the software, to basic use and creating, or downloading your very own family tree.  He will discuss its compatibility with Ancestry.com and FamilySearch. He will be happy to discuss and answer all questions.

An electronic PDF handout, that includes a discount link, will be provided to all attendees. Mark will also discuss Family Tree Maker partner products – Charting Companion and Family Book Creator - both are amazing plug-ins that can help create incredible charts, graphs, and books.

This class is for all levels of genealogists, whether you are just getting started or very experienced. You will want to join the class whether you already use Family Tree Maker or are looking to purchase genealogy software.

Finally, Mark is providing a Door prize for one lucky attendee—a copy of FTM 2019, the most current version. We will have a drawing after Mark’s presentation.

Please note that the meeting starts at 12 noon Pacific Daylight Time (3 p.m. Eastern time, 2 p.m. Central time, 1 p.m. Mountain time). The Zoom Meeting room will be open by 11:45 a.m. PDT for visiting and helping attendees connect.
