Treasure Chest Thursday -- Before 1681 Marriage Record of William Cutter and Rebecca Rolfe in Cambridge, Massachusetts

I looked in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings for Treasure Chest Thursday.

The treasure today is the before 1681 marriage record of William Cutter and Rebecca Rolfe in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay:

The marriage record is near the end of the C surnames in the middle of the page:

The transcription of this marriage record is:

"CUTTER, William (1650-1723) & Rebecca [ROLFE] (1662-1751), m/2 John WHITMORE 1724; b 1681; Cambridge."

The source citation for this  marriage record is:

This record is a Derivative Source, with Secondary Information and Indirect Evidence of the marriage of William Cutter and Rebecca Rolfe in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

William Cutter (1650-1723) was born 22 February 1649/50 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Richard and Elizabeth (--?--) Cutter.  He died 1 April 1723 in Cambridge.  William married Rebecca Rolfe (1662-1751) before 1681 in Cambridge; she was born 9 February 1661/2 in Newbury, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Mary (Scullard) Rolfe.  They had 10 children.

William and Rebecca (Rolfe) Cutter are my 7th great-grandparents.  I am descended through their son Richard Cutter (1682-1756) who married in 1722 to Mercy Kelsey (1698-1760) in Woodbridge, New Jersey as his second wife.
