Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- Your 2024 Christmas Genea-Gifts

 Calling all Genea-Musings Fans:

 It's Saturday Night again -

Time for some more Genealogy Fun!!

Come on, everybody, join in and accept the mission and execute it with precision. Here's your chance to sit on Genea-Santa's lap (virtually) and tell him your Christmas genealogy-oriented wish list:

1) Was Genea-Santa good to you?  What genealogy gifts did you receive for Christmas this year?

2) Tell us about them in your own blog post, in a comment on this post, or in a Facebook Status  post.  Please leave a link on this post if you write your own post.

Here's mine:

I spent Christmas day with Linda for an hour in her memory care center, and she opened her gifts and we talked to our daughters and grandkids (those that were awake!).  Then I drove to Huntington Beach (about 100 miles) to visit Tami and her family for gifts, football, a nap, dinner, and hugs.  I drove home after dinner.

I received one genea-gift from my descendants:

My daughter Tami and her three beautiful children (now 19, 16, and 10) gave me this great T-shirt:

The center of the shirt says "Grandpa's Legacy."  The 8 photos on the shirt include all of my descendants - my two daughters and all five grandchildren.  On the back of the shirt is a photo of Linda and me celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.

One other family history Christmas gift - I really enjoyed talking to all three grandchildren about their school and what they were studying and learning.   And a memorable event - I actually beat Charlie in chess - he started out great, but guile and attention to detail won the day.  It may be the last time I beat him since he's studying the chess masters using AI.

One more fantastic gift - the hugs and words of love from all of them.

What did I give them?  I gave the two families (Tami's and Lori's) my StoryWorth published book Life Stories of Randy Seaver with 37 articles about my life and experiences, including some genealogy (I couldn't resist!).  I told them they could use it for bedtime stories - a guaranteed insomnia solution.
