It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.
The treasure today is the 1677 birth record of Jane Willis in the Medford, Massachusetts Bay Colony town vital record book:The 1677 birth entry for Jane Willis is in the middle of the Wullis entries:
The transcription of the information on this record is:
" [WILLIS] Jane, d. Thomas, Apr. 9, 1677."
The source citation for this census record is:
This is a Derivative Source record (because it is a compilation of information copied from an original town record book) with Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the name, birth date and father's name for Jane Willis in the Medford town record book.
Jane Willis was born 9 April 1677 in Medford, Massachusetts Bay Colony, the daughter of Thomas and Grace (Tay) Willis. Jane died 28 October 1757 in Sutton, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She married Percival Hall (1672-1752) on 2 February 1696 in Woburn, Massachusetts Bay Colony. They had at least 12 children.
Percival Hall and Jane Willis are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Jane Hall (1700-1769) who married Jonas Rice (1707-1793) in Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1728.
