Rebecca (Spangler) Carringer in 1900 in San Diego -- (Not So) Wordless Wednesday #887

This is one of the priceless (to me) photographs in my computer file folders:

The image above was created Google Gemini 2.5 Flash received after I asked it to sharpen, enhance and colorize the sepia image below (which I snipped from a larger photograph - it is only 10 kb in size - see the larger sepia photo here):

I also asked OpenAI ChatGPT5 to sharpen, enhance and colorize the sepia image, and received this image:

The person in these images is my 2nd great-grandmother, Rebecca (Spangler) Carringer (1832-1901).  It was taken in about 1900 in front of the David Jackson and Rebecca (Spangler) Carringer home in San Diego.  It is one of two photographs I have of Rebecca.

The ChatGPT5 image has the same setting and pose of Rebecca - looking to the right of the image.  It's interesting that both Gemini and ChatGPT5 chose a dark green color for Rebecca's dress.

This photograph is a part of my family history.
