This is one of the priceless (to me) images in my computer file folders:
This photograph was taken at Whalom Lake near Leominster, Massachusetts in the mid-1920s, perhaps 1925. Geraldine Seaver is the little girl and looks to be about age 8. My paternal grandmother, Alma Bessie (Richmond) Seaver (1882-1962) would be about age 43 in 1925. Note Bess's hat and white gloves! I have several photographs of Gerry with the white bow in her hair.
I colorized the original photograph with the MyHeritage photo tools in recent years.
