Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week (ending Sunday, 12 April 2026).
1) Gave my presentation for my GSSCC talk "From Census To Story: Bringing Ancestors to Life with Evidence, Context and AI" on 7 April, with good reviews. It is on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_jU3bksD9M.
2) Hosted and moderated the Chula Vista Genealogical Society (CVGS) Research Group Meeting on Wednesday. Reported on MyHeritage videos, Family Tree Magazine articles, Fold3 RevWar pension files, and Steve Little's Genealogy Research Assistant, plus my Scribe AI work and GSSCC presentation.
3) Curated genealogy-related articles to keep myself and my readers updated on the genealogy world in:
- ABC Biography of John Charles and Maria (Beamish) Paul of Ireland and San Francisco
- Life Memoir of Burgess Metcalf (1741-1816) in Piermont, New Hampshire in 1816
- Ask AI: Describe Jonathan and Amy Oatley Discussing the Call to East Killingly in 1834
- Ask AI: What Is the "Interactive AI Digital Twin" Conversational Experience?
- The Golden Shore -- A Schaffner Family Story: Parts 1 and 2
- Ask AI: " Describe a Day In the Life Of the Shubael Seaver Family in Massachusetts in 1690?"
