Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week (ending Sunday, 23 August 2026).
1) Hosted and moderated the Chula Vista Genealogical Society (CVGS) Family Histor Roundtable Meeting with 13 in atrendance on Zoom. Five of us told a story about one of our grandparents, and I reported on creating a "Memories Book" using an app accessing Family Search Family Tree, how to transcribe an audio or video file, and 20 genealogy hacks that every genealogist should know how to use.
2) Curated genealogy-related articles to keep myself and my readers updated on the genealogy world in:
- Genealogy News Bytes - Week of 12 to 18 August 2026
- Genealogy Education Bytes - Week of 13 to 19 August 2026
- Best of the Genea-Blogs - Week of 16 to 22 August 2026
- Listed new and updated record collections for MyHeritage, Findmypast, Ancestry.com, and FamilySearch.
