Findmypast Friday: Uncover Wartime Heroism With New Medal Rolls

  I received this information from Findmypast today:

===============================

Was your ancestor's service recognised by the British government?

We’ve added two record sets to our collection this week, both of which tell the story of foreign-born servicemen who were awarded military medals by the British government between 1914 and 1920.

Including details on nationality and rank, these additions illuminate the sacrifice of an all-too-often-forgotten portion of the Allied war effort.

Covering the First World War years and beyond, this brand-new set comprises 7,144 medal records.

The 4,235 records within this week's second new collection also span 1914 to 1920.
