We are five months into 2016, and the last time I did this search on GenealogyBank was at the end of 2015. So I went to GenealogyBank, and put "seaver" in the last name field and put "2016" in both Date fields to limit it to only 2016. Here is the search results:
So there are 16 matches for my search terms in the Recent Newspaper Obituaries (1977-current) collection. Here is the top of the matches page:
I went through each of these and added the family content to my RootsMagic database for those persons I had in my database. Four of the 16 matches were for another Randall Seaver (wow - seeing your name in a headline like that was a wake-up call!):
Another match had a real obituary, rather than a newspaper article about his death, for Randall Seaver, son of Dale and Ina (Zahler) Seaver. I already had him in my database. so now I can add a death date with a source citation.
Whew! You know, this can happen to any of us at any time (well, most folks don't kill a deer on the road). My condolences to the Seaver family on their loss. Randall was not my Seaver cousin, since he is descended from another family with the surname Seaver, but I have tried to include all Seaver/Sever folks in my database.
