The San Diego Genealogical Society (SDGS) is sponsoring a trip to the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The dates are 19 April to 26 April 2009.
Why visit the Allen County Public Library? Because it has the largest public genealogical research library in the United States! The library hours are 9 am to 9 pm on Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 12 noon to 6 pm on Sunday. The cost of the trip is for lodging only - at the Clarion Hotel, located four blocks from the library. The prices do not include airfare. A hotel courtesy shuttle is available for Library and airport transportation. The price includes a continental breakfast. The prices for a Regular Room are:
* Single - $617
* Double - $330 each
* Triple - $234 each
* Quad - $187 each
Corner Suite Rooms are also available for a higher price.
The Reservation Form (mailed to SDGS members) with a $50 non-refundable registration fee is due to SDGS by 16 March 2009. The Final Balance is due on 10 April 2009. Checks may be made payable to San Diego Genealogical Society. The registration form and check may be mailed to
