1) Who Do You Think You Are? Episode 2 is tonight (9 p.m. EDT/PDT/MDT, 8 p.m. CDT) on the TLC cable channel, featuring actress Christina Applegate. You can watch a preview here. TLC is providing each episode on the Who Do You Think You Are? website after the broadcast.
2) Diane Haddad publishes a weekly genealogy news roundup on the Genealogy Insider blog Fridays - last weeks is at Genealogy News Corral, July 22-26. Topics include the ISGS Conference, IAJGS Conference, the PERSI partnership with FindMyPast.com, Royal genealogy and Ancestry's Shoebox app.
3) Mick Southwick's Genealogy News - 27th July has information about British and Irish genealogy information.
4) Elizabeth Lapointe's Canadian Week In Review 29 July 2013 highlights Canadian genealogy news and resources.
5) Tessa Keough's three YouTube videos on Starting Your One Name Study in the USA (Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3) are informative and very useful. See all of Tessa's videos here.
6) DearMYRTLE's Mastering Genealogical Proof Study Group discussed Chapter 5 of the Tom Jones book in the Sunday, 28 July Hangout On Air.
7) DearMYRTLE's weekly Mondays with Myrt Hangout On Air on 29 July discussed new features in the genealogy world, and research practices of the panelists.
8) There are several new Ancestry.com videos on the Ancestry.com YouTube channel, including How To Request Information From an Archive, Browsing Records on Ancestry.com, and Using City Directories In Your Research.
9) This week's Legacy Family Tree Webinar is on Friday, 2 August at 2 p.m. EDT (11 a.m. PDT), and features Maureen Taylor presenting "Directing Your Research With City Directories." You need to register at the link and click in from the email link before the show starts.
