Wordless Wednesday - Post 278: The Wedding Party Photo

I'm posting family photographs from my collection on Wednesdays, but they aren't Wordless Wednesday posts like others do - I am incapable of having a wordless post.

Here is a photograph from our wedding albums:

This photo was taken on 21 March 1970 in the Chula Vista Presbyterian Church sanctuary after the ceremony.  The people in the photograph are, from the left:

*  Bob Akers, a bowling buddy
*  Marce Ziolkowski, a teaching colleague of Linda's
*  Art Hayward, a drinking buddy
*  Pam Scheider, a teaching colleague of Linda's, matron of honor
*  Linda (Leland) Seaver, the beautiful bride
*  Randy Seaver, the happy groom
*  Paul Leland, the best man, and Linda's brother
*  Sherry Kleinschmidt, a bowling and drinking buddy
*  Bob Gusky, a work colleague of Randy's
*  Scott Seaver, Randy's brother

We have lost contact with several of these friends, and Sherry died recently.

In 1970, in our mid-20s, our circle of close friends was different than it is today, and our social habits were significantly different.  In 1970, our social activities were centered around bowling, playing games and drinking.

Note the color of the attendants dresses.  Linda has always loved the light blue, turquoise, and teal colors and they are reflected in the chosen colors.

Blue bridesmaids must have been the fashion in 1970. Mine were also beautiful in blue.

The view is unbeatable - you can literally see the entire city for miles out. We had a winter wedding and the snow on top of the buildings was just gorgeous.
