Randy, I figured eventually I'd find we were distant cousins when I noticed your Medfield connections. And I see Joseph Clark is at least one of them, he being my 9th great grandfather. I am curious as to the Alice Fenn marriage (instead of Alice Pepper as previously widely published). Obviously Christopher Clark found something that changed the landscape on this family. My records show Alice Pepper as a likely 2nd marriage of Joseph, with no wife listed for the first marriage. And I've always attributed the children to this marriage. Could you share more of your research on this family with me as I don't have access to the original document you reference from the NEGHS. Thanks, Dennis Partridge

Hi Dennis,

I have the NEHGR Vol 152 article but I can't find my paper copy of it - my file system has broken down. I tried to get a digital copy on the NEHGS site and the copyright holder won't permit it to be seen or downloaded.

I have sourced the marriage record of Joseph Clark and Alice Fenn to the NEHGR article.

I suggest that you try to find the article in a library and copy it.

Sorry I can't help more (unless some kind dustbunny digs it out of my paper file piles.

Regards -- Randy
