Randy, I love the map of Nieuw Amsterdam at https://www.nikhef.nl/~louk/WARM/PICS/newamsterdam1662.jpg

Several of my Ten Eyck ancestors are listed, so I'd love to copy that map. Could you please tell me where you got it, so I can ask for permission?

Thank you.

Hi Barbara,

I found it through Pinterest, but the web page it was from is https://www.nikhef.nl/~louk/WARM/generation2.html.

This is a De WARM surname genealogy.

The map may have come from Lorine Schulze's Olive Tree Genealogy website in the New Netherland section. The link to the 1662 map no longer works.

I did a Google Images search for [1662 map of new netherland] - see https://www.google.com/search?q=1662+map+of+new+netherland&rlz=1C1AFAB_enUS444US444&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiDtJnzmu7VAhUJ7iYKHUqZBHQ4ChD8BQgLKAI&biw=1366&bih=638 but I didn't see this map.

Cheers -- Randy

Thanks, Randy. I'll try to find the owner...if not, Pinterest might have to do. Thanks for all you do, I'm always in awe. Many of us would be lost without you.
