My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.
Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:
* DNA Painter: The Tool that Helps You Find Links Between Your DNA Matches by Melody Lassalle on the Genealogy Research Journal blog.
* Episode 239 – Cece Moore on Solved Cold Case Using DNA / Cece Moore on Ethics of Using Genealogical DNA for Solving Crime by Ryan Bennett on the Extreme Genes blog.
* What is Genealogy? Reflections on an Ongoing Issue by James Tanner on the Genealogy's Star blog.
* Every Picture Tells a Story: Searching for Harry’s by Maureen Taylor on the Maureen Taylor, The Photo Detective blog.

Did I miss a great genealogy blog post? Tell me! I am currently reading posts from over 900 genealogy bloggers using Feedly, but I still miss quite a few it seems.
