The featured speaker is Annette Hubbell on "Warrior Women."
Have you ever wondered how people who change the world come to be? Hear the remarkable stories of four women who changed the world: Corrie ten Boom, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Mary McLeod Bethune.
These stories are told in first-person narrative from a heavenly vantage point, with attention paid to the role faith played in their world-changing status. Their stories are riveting.
Annette Hubbell has been writing and acting since 2007. We have seen her as Hattie Elizabeth in Witness to Gettysburg and Eleanor Roosevelt in Tea with Mrs. Roosevelt. Her first publication, A Spoonful of Grace: Mealtime Blessings in Bite-Sized Pieces, won the Silver Medal in the 2018 Illumination Awards for exemplary Christian writing. The "Women Warriors" performance is adapted from her second book, Eternity in the Rearview Mirror, which is scheduled for publication early next year. A San Diego native, Annette has an MBA from Cal State San Marcos, a Business degree from SDSU and in her former life was a General Manager of a water district in North County. Annette is proof that there is life after retirement! For more information, visit her website at www.annettehubbell.com.
There will be a short business meeting after the presentation, and refreshments will follow. CVGS meetings are free for everyone to attend.
