This record is a  derivative source record for the birth of Daniel Carpenter.   The original record is in the South Kingstown town record books, which are on Family History Library US/CAN microfilms, available at the local FamilySearch Center.  

Daniel Carpenter (1712-1784) was the son of Solomon and Elizabeth (Tefft) Carpenter of South Kingstown, R.I.  He married  in 1733 in North Kingstown to Renewed Smith (1717-1766), daughter of Ephraim and Margaret (Pearce) Smith of North Kingstown, R.I.

Daniel and Renewed (Smith) Carpenter are my  6th great-grandparents, through their daughter Elizabeth Carpenter (1741-????) who married  Stephen Hazard (1730-1804)  in 1760.
