I am working in the 9th great-grandmothers by Ahnentafel number, and I am up to Ancestor #2225 who is Elizabeth CROOKE (1618-1669). [Note: the more recent ancestral families have been covered in earlier posts.]
My ancestral line back through one generation in this CROOKE family line is:
1. Randall J. Seaver
2. Frederick Walton Seaver (1911-1983)
3. Betty Virginia Carringer (1919-2002)
4. Frederick Walton Seaver (1876-1942)
5. Alma Bessie Richmond (1882-1962)
8. Frank Walton Seaver (1852-1922)
9. Hattie Louise Hildreth (1857-1920)
16. Isaac Seaver (1823-1901)
17. Lucretia Townsend Smith (1827-1884)
34. Alpheus B. Smith (1802-1840)
35. Elizabeth Horton Dill (1791-1869)
68. Aaron Smith (1768-1841)
69. Mercy Plimpton (1772-1850)
138. Amos Plimpton (1735-1808)
139. Mary Guild (1735-1800)
278. Nathaniel Guild (1712-1796)
279. Mary Boyden (1708-1776)
556. Nathaniel Guild (1678-1774)
557. Mehitable Hartshorn (1683-1771)
1112. Samuel Guild (1647-1730)
1113. Mary Woodcock (1653-1703)
2224. John Guild, born about 1616 in England; died 04 October 1682 in Dedham, Norfolk, Massachusetts, United States. He married 24 June 1645 in Dedham, Norfolk, Massachusetts, United States.
2225. Elizabeth Crooke, born about 1618 in England; died 31 August 1669 in Dedham, Norfolk, Massachusetts, United States.
Children of John Guild and Elizabeth Crooke are:
* John Guild (1646-1649)
* Samuel Guild (1647-1731), married 1675 Mary Woodcock (1653-1703)
* John Guild (1649-1723), married 1677 Sarah Fisher (1658-1714).
* Eleazer Guild (1653-1655).
* Ebenezer Guild (1657-1661).
* Elizabeth Guild (1661-1740), married 1680 George Robinson (1657-1724).
* Benjamin Guild (1664-1682).
Information about the Guild family was obtained from:
* Helen Schatvet Ullmann, CG, FASG, "A Line From John Guild of Dedham to Wrentham, Massachusetts, and Beyond," The American Genealogist, Volume 83 (2009), pages 217-222.
Information about one Crooke family line was obtained from:
* Leslie Mahler, "The English Origin of Rebecca Crooke, Wife of Peter Gardner of Roxbury, Massachsetts," New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Volume 159, No. 1 (January 2005), pages 40-42.
The article indicates that Rebecca Crooke was the daughter of Roger and Sarah (--?--) Crooke of Hammersmith, Misddlesex, England. Roger and Sarah had a daughter Elizabeth baptized in 1618, but Elizabeth is not named in Roger's 1639 will in Middlesex.
I have done no original research on this family line.

Hi Randall, I am also related to John Guild and Elizabeth Crooke, as they are my 9th great grandparents, and I am directly connected to their son John Guild (1649-1723). This connection would make us 9th cousins, so very nice to make your acquaintance and thanks for the information on your direct lines to John & Elizabeth.
Your cousin,
Rachael Smith Melton
