Betty and Her Nana in the Park -- Post 560 of (Not So) Wordless Wednesday

An Auble cousin gifted me with a photograph album of her family several years ago which included quite a few photos of my grandmother, Emily Kemp (Auble) Carringer and her parents, Charles and Georgianna (Kemp) Auble.

Included in the photo album, created by Bessie (Auble) Pentecost in about 1930, was this intriguing photo:

This photograph is of my mother, Betty Virginia (Carringer) Seaver (1919-2002) and her maternal grandmother, Georgianna (Kemp) Auble in about 1926.  Georgianna was called "Nana" by Betty, who was an only child.   The caption in the photo album indicates this was taken in Mission Cliffs Park in San Diego (near Park Boulevard and Adams Avenue).  It was probably winter judging by the coats.

Several years ago, while doing Auble research, a descendant of Will and Bessie (Auble) Pentecost contacted me and offered the album to me, telling me that it had many photographs of the family of my grandparents (Lyle and Emily (Auble) Carringer).  I have kept the album intact in case she ever wants it back, but have digitized many of the photos of my Carringer and Auble families.  Unfortunately, there were no photographs of the parents of Charles Auble, David and Sarah (Knapp) Auble of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Please do NOT delete my very important folders, otherwise I will have nothing with which to refer if I receive any further contact from previous distant relatives - why are you doing this, as it’s obviously going to cause a lot if trouble to Ancestry users?
