Monday Genea-Pourri - Week Ending 22 December 2019

Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week:

1)  Watched one Family Tree Webinar video - How to Trace Your UK Ancestry, by Kirsty Gray.

2)  Wrote and posted a biographical sketch of 7th great-grandfather #520 Nathaniel Whitney (1647-1733) for my 52 Ancestors biographical sketch on Friday.

4)  Hosted daughter Lori and grandson Logan for the weekend (Lucas stayed home alone) - they came in on Friday morning and left on Monday afternoon.  We went out to eat, toured the USS Midway, and played Monopoly (Logan is ruthless!) and had a great time.  Daughter Tami and grandkids Audrey and Charlie came on Sunday (James and Lauren were sick) and we had our family Christmas.  I gave each of them a family tree chart.  Our descendants gave Linda a Skylight photoframe  display (you email photos to the display) for Christmas, and I received a weekend at RootsTech from Lori and her family.

5)  Added Notes to about 10 more AncestryDNA matches with cM values and two ThruLines to the RootsMagic family tree database.

6) There were several sessions working in the RootsMagic software program to match with and update FamilySearch Family Tree profiles for Seaver families and my ancestral families, with occasional additions to the RootsMagic profiles. I have matched 33,838 of my RootsMagic persons with FSFT.

7)  Used Web Hints and Record Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch to add content and sources to my RootsMagic profiles.  I now have 55,607 persons in my RootsMagic file, and 113,317 source citations.   I TreeShared once this week updating 75 profiles, and I resolved 303 Ancestry Hints.  I've fallen behind on the Ancestry Record Hints with 121,923 to be resolved, but I work on them weekly.

8) Wrote 16 Genea-Musings blog posts last week, of which two were press releases.  The most popular post last week was 52 Ancestors - Week 309: #520 Nathaniel Whitney (1647-1733) of Watertown and Weston, Massachusetts   with over 479 views.
