4)  NOTES (with source citations as indicated in brackets):

 Jacob Whittemore Reed's book, History of The Reed Family In Europe and America, has a brief sketch of Ebenezer Reed of Woburn, Massachusetts[1].

Ebenezer Reed was born 6 March 1689/90 in Woburn, Massachusetts, the son of George and Abigail (Pierce) Reed of Woburn[1-2].

He married Huldah Blodgett (1689-1777) in about 1714, probably in Woburn, but there is no marriage record available[1,6].  She was the daughter of Samuel and Huldah (Simonds) Blodgett.  They had six children, all recorded in the Woburn town records:

*  Ebenezer Reed (1715-1789), married 1777 to Ruth Snow (1735-????)
*  Huldah Reed (1717-1775).
*  Nathan Reed (1719-1802), married 1743 Susanna Wood (1724-1780).
*  Abigail Reed (1721-1806), married 1752 Aaron Mason (1717-1799).
*  George Reed (1723-1804), married 1746 to Mary Wood (1726-1775).
*  Eliphaz Reed (1726-1776), married (1) 1747 Elizabeth Perry (1729-1752), (2) 1753 to Sarah Newell (1732-1777).

On 11 March 1716, Ebenezer Reed bought 3 acres of meadow land in Woburn from Samuel Blodgett, Jr. for 12 pounds[3]

On 8 December 1719, George Reed, yeoman, gave his loving and dutiful son Ebenezer Reed, yeoman, a deed for his 40 acre farm, dwelling house and barn in Woburn[4].

In 1724, John and Elizabeth Hall sold 9 acres of meadow in Woburn to Ebenezer Reed, yeoman, for 42 pounds; Jacob Kendall sold Ebenezer Reed, yeoman, about 8 acres of land in Woburn with a dwelling house and barn for 140 pounds; Samuel Walker sold Ebenezer Reed, yeoman,  3 acres in Woburn for 20 pounds; George Reed,  sold Ebenezer Reed, yeoman, 9 acres of land in Woburn for 55 pounds.  These parcels were adjacent to or near Ebenezer's land in Woburn.

On 3 September 1743, Nathan Reed of Woburn, husbandman, received two parcels of land in Woburn, valued at  £50, from his father, Ebenezer Reed of Woburn, yeoman, for love, good will and fatherly affection.  One parcel was 1/2 acre with a house, bounded by a road, the brook and a wall.  The second parcel was 5 acres of land bounded by the road, a wall, and a fence.  The deed was recorded 19 September 1748[5].

Ebenezer Reed died 9 July 1767 in Woburn, Massachusetts[1,6].  There is no burial record available for him or Huldah.  There are no probate records available for him or Huldah.
