Tombstone Tuesday --Bennet (Freeman) Paine (1671-1716) in Cove Burying Ground in Eastham, Mass.

I have collected a number of gravestone photographs from my own camera and from Find A Grave memorials over many years, and thought I would share them one at a time for Tombstone Tuesday.

Here is the gravestone of my 7th great-grandmother, Bennet (Freeman) Paine (1671-1716) in Cove Burying Ground in Eastham, Massachusetts.

The inscription on the rough stone is only partial readable.

The source citation for this gravestone is:

Find a Grave, database and images (https://www.findagrave.com : accessed 14 September 2020), memorial page for Bennett Freeman Paine (7 Mar 1671–30 May 1716), Find a Grave Memorial no. 15872216, citing Cove Burying Ground, Eastham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, USA ; Maintained by Kevin Avery (contributor 47024642) .

Thank you to Mary Harrell-Sesniak for creating this Find A Grave memorial, Kevin Avery for maintaining the memorial and Leigh Miller for adding this photograph.

John Paine (1661-1731) and Bennet Freeman (1671-1716)  are my 7th great-grandparents.  They married in 1689 in Eastham, Mass. and had 13 children.  I am descended through their 7th child,
Elizabeth Paine (1702-1772) who married Jabez Snow (1696-1760) in 1720 in Eastham.
