Treasure Chest Thursday -- 1707 Marriage Record of Thomas Boyden and Deborah Wight in Medfield, Mass.

It's Treasure Chest Tuesday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1707 marriage record of Thomas Boyden and Deborah Wight in the Medfield, Massachusetts vital record book:
The Boyden-Wight marriage record is:

The transcription of this record is:

"[BOYDEN] Thomas and Deborah Wight, Apr. 29, 1707.*"

The source citation for this record is:

Vital Records of Medfield, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1903), Marriages, page 120, Thomas Boyden and Deborah Wight, 29 April 1707.

This is a Derivative Source record for the marriage of Thomas Boyden and Deborah Wight.
It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the marriage date and place, and the names of the bride and groom.  The original source records are probably Medfield town and/or church records for the time period that are either lost or unavailable to digitize.

Thomas Boyden (1682-1770) was the son of Jonathan and Mary (Clark) Boyden of Medfield.  Deborah Wight (1685-1730) was the daughter of Ephraim and Lydia (Morse) Wight of Medfield.
They are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter
Mary Boyden (1708-1776) who married Nathaniel Guild (1712-1796) in 1733 in Dedham.
