Carringers in the News -- Beulah Mae Carringer Dies in 1968 in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania

  It's time for another edition of "Carringers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Carringer (my mother's maiden surname) that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.

This week's entry is from The Pittsburgh [Penn.] Press newspaper dated 2 July 1968:

This obituary provides a death date and place, an age, her son's and siblings' names, and some information about employment and associations.

Beulah Mae Flick was born 28 May 1888 in Toby, Clarion county, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry Belle and Eva Mae (Barr) Flick.  She died 1 July 1968 in Rimersburg, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Beulah married Albert Miller Carringer (1880-1952) on 30 June 1910 in Rimersburg.  They had two children:

*  Albert Vincent Carringer (1911-1970), married 1937 Marcella Elizabeth Stein (1916-1995).
*  Thelma Bell Carringer (1913-1913).

I am a second cousin two times removed to Albert Miller Carringer.  Our common ancestors are my 4th great-grandparents Martin Carringer (1758-1835) and Maria Magdalena Hoax (1768-1851).

There are hundreds of Carringer "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has a well-written obituary that lists her associations and family members.  I am glad that I can honor Beulah Mae (Flick) Carringer today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
