The transcription of this petition is (handwriting in italics):To the Honorable the Judge of the Probate Court in and for the County of Middlesex:
Respectfully represents George F. Seaver
of Ashland in the County of Middlesex that
Emily M.L. Seaver who last dwelt in
Ashland in said County of Middlesex, died on the twenty fifth
day of July in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and sixty nine
intestate, possessed of goods and estate remaining to be adminis-
tered, leaving a husband who is your petitioner
and is her only next of kin the persons whose names, residence and relationship to the deceased are:
as follows, viz.:
Willie F. Seaver and
Fanny C. Seaver both of said
Ashland children
That your petitioner is the husband of said deceased
Wherefore your petitioner prays that he may be appointed Administrator of the estate of said
deceased.
Dated this twenty third day of November A.D. 1869.

Emily M.L. Jones was born January 1831 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of James H. and Fanny (Cossett) Jones. She married George Francis Seaver (1835-1887) on 5 June 1855 in Ashland, Massachusetts. Emily died 25 July 1869 in Ashland. They had three children:
* William Francis "Willie" Seaver (1857-1930), married (1) 1879 Viola G. Bledsoe (1859-1895); (2) 1896 Mary J. Blake (1865-1906); (3) 1910 Rebecca Catherine Young (1870-1944).
* Fanny Cosset Seaver (1860-????), married 1883 James B. Knowlton (1856-????).
* Harrie W. Seaver (1863-1864).
George Francis Seaver (1835-1887) is my 6th cousin 4 times removed. Our common Seaver ancestor is my 9th great-grandfather, Robert Seaver (1608-1683).
