Here are the highlights of my family history and genealogy related activities over the past week.
1) Attended the Chula Vista Genealogical Society Board Meeting on Wednesday on Zoom. I reported on the Newsletter, Research Group, DNA Interest Group, and working on the website Events.
2) Wrote six articles for the August 2022 CVGS newsletter and sent them to the assistant editor who published the newsletter on Sunday.
3) Worked on the CVGS web site to add August events following the death of our webmaster, Gary Brock. Checked out the One Drive repository for CVGS papers and files - I need the username/password to add or delete anything.
4) Attended the San Diego Genealogical Society DNA Interest Group on Saturday, with Kathy Fernandes speaking on "Endogamy."
#711 Hannah (Mott) Tucker (1663-1732) of Portsmouth, Rhode Island and Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
9) Used Web Hints and Record Matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, Findmypast and FamilySearch to add content and source citations to my RootsMagic profiles. I now have 69,892 persons in my RootsMagic file (up 6 from 1 August), and 145,264 source citations (up 24). I TreeShared no new or modified profiles with my Ancestry Member Tree, and I resolved 335 Ancestry Hints. My current Ancestry Member Tree has Ancestry Record Hints with 25,177 to be resolved, but I work on them several times a week.
10) Wrote 13 Genea-Musings blog posts last week (Sunday through Saturday), of which two were a press release. The most viewed post last week was MyHeritage Introduces Photo Tagger with over 227 views.
