Nathaniel Potter (1637-1704) was born in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, the son of Nathaniel and Dorothy (--?--) Potter.  He married Elizabeth Stokes  (1639-after 1710) in Portsmouth.  They had 11 children.

Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Stokes) Potter are my 8th great-grandparents.  I am descended through their daughter Rebekah Potter (681-1773) of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, who married Robert Kirby (1674-1757) in about 1700 in Dartmouth.
