20. What is one of your 2023 genealogy goals?

Here are my answers:

1. What is one genea-accomplishment this year of which you are proud?  I added more than 48 weeks of Amanuensis Monday (record transcriptions) and 52 Ancestors (ancestor sketches) blog posts this year.

2. Is there a particular song that when you first hear it, tells you that the holidays are
here?  Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You!"

3. Share a holiday memory which is special for you.  Spending Christmas Eve at my grandparents house because they had a chimney, and singing carols at bedtime with my grandmother.

4. Has your family passed down any holiday stories?  Not many.

5. Which past genea-gift have you really appreciated?  Nathan Dylan Goodwin forensic genealogy books.

6. Does your family cook any holiday recipes that have been handed down?  Not really - it was pretty traditional turkey, stuffing, vegetables, potatoes, pumpkin pie.

7. What is your favorite holiday song?  Mariah Carey's song.

8. Is there a holiday song that you wish was forgotten forever?  "In the Bleak Midwinter"

9. What is one (realistic) item on your Genea-Santa list this year? A genealogy-themed T-shirt.

10. What is one item on your not-so-realistic wish list for Genea-Santa?  A trip to Salt Lake City.

11. What holiday meal will be served?  I have no clue.  It depends where I go = Tami's a friend's, or home alone.

12. Will your family reminisce about past holidays when you get together?  Probably not much.

13. Will you travel to spend the day with others?  Maybe - I may go to Tami's home, a friend's home, or stay home.

14. Do you have old family holiday photos or home movies that will be viewed this
year?  I have plenty - about 50 home movies (not all Christmas) and a lot of Christmas photos with my kids and grandkids, some of which I've put on my blog.  No one seems interested.

15. Did you break through any brick walls in 2022?  I don't think so.

16. Has your family shared any holiday recipes/activities or ??? which have become
new yearly traditions?  Not really.

17. Do you have a 2022 genea-goal which could have been accomplished, but over
which you’ve procrastinated?  All of them!  See Saturday Night Genealogy Fun -- What Are Your 2022 Plans/Goals/Resolutions for Your Genealogy Research for the goals I set for 2022.  I have continued to try to keep up with my DNA Matches, but have failed to add to my DNA Painter chromosome painting.

18. Do you participate in any holiday activities with your neighbors?  I watch their decorations.  The folks next door have lots of lights and a blow-up Santa on their front lawn.

19. Think – if you had to choose right this minute – which ancestor would you most like to meet?
2nd great-grandfather Isaac Seaver (1823-1901), who had a hard life - orphaned, had a guardian, a blacksmith, first wife died in childbirth, served in Washington DC in the Civil War, lost his second wife, married a third wife, received a Civil War pension, and died of stomach cancer.

20. What is one of your 2023 genealogy goals?  To survive my health problems - heart, COVID, balance, and other issues - so that I can work all year on my genealogy research.
