Here is this week's edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.
This week's entry is from The Boston [Mass.] Globe newspaper dated 18 November 1974, page 31:
The transcription of the article is:

This obituary identifies her married and maiden name, spouse's name, children's married names and residences, siblings names and residences, but not her age, parents names, occupation, or associations.
Inez Mildred Waite (1893-1974) was born 3 June 1893 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Otis Hall and Carrie Angeline (Wood) Waite. She died 16 November 1974 in Melrose, Massachusetts. She married William Nathanael Seaver (1877-1960), on 23 September 1922 in Woodstock, Vermont. William Seaver was the son of Nathaniel and Marietta Mills (White) Seaver. The had three children:
* Priscilla Waite Seaver (1924-1969), married 1946 Norman Ray Anderson (1923-????).
* Anne Codman Seaver (1927-2013), married 1950 Donald George Harrington (1922-????).
* Martha Lawrence Seaver (1932-2021), married 1953 Richard Kimball (1927-2012).
William Nathanael Seaver (1877-1960) is my 6th cousin four times removed, with the common Seaver ancestor of my 9th great-grandfather, Robert Seaver (1608-1683).
There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them. Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person has a relatively short obituary. I am glad that I can honor Inez Mildred (Waite) Seaver today.
You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
