Ethel Pearl Rye (1893-1977) was born 11 February 1893 in Swanton, Vermont, the daughter of Edward P. and Julia (Dukette) Rye.  She married Hugh Leland Seaver (1897-1979) on 27 July 1918 in Randolph, Vermont.  Ethel died 20 November 1977 in Northfield, Vermont.  They had two children:

*  Lillian Ethel Seaver (1920-1998), married (1) 1944 John Bradford Nash (1917-2005)., and (2) 1948 Verner Yngve Johnson (1916-1977).
*  Edward Carl Seaver (1922-1983), married 1946 Helen Virginia Scott (1922-2020).

Hugh Leland Seaver (1897-1979) is my 8th cousin twice removed, with the common Seaver ancestor being Robert Seaver (1608-1683) who settled in Roxbury, Massachusetts.

There are over 10,000 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this is one of them.   Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a woman works and has a family.  I am glad that I can honor Ethel Pearl (Rye) Seaver today.

You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
