DearMYRTLE's Weekly "Mondays With Myrt" Genealogy Discussion Group Videos

DearMYRTLE (her real nam is Pat Richley-Erickson) is back with (nearly) weekly genealogy discussion groups after a short retirement (since May 2022) and many of the same panelists have joined her in the first three weeks of the group meetings.  They are broadcast LIVE on Mondays at 12 noon ET, 11 a.m. CT, 10 a.m. MT and 9 a.m. PT.

The videos of the meetings are broadcast live or after the program on the DearMYRTLE Archive on YouTube, along with the comments section.  You can Subscribe to the YouTube channel by clicking on the "Subscribe" button and get notifications by clicking the Notifications button.

The three latest discussion videos are:

11 March 2024:  Mondays with Myrt - 11 March 2024

18 March 2024:  Mondays with Myrt - 18 March 2024

25 March 2024:  Mondays with Myrt - 25 March 2024

"Mondays With Myrt" is using StreamYard to broadcast these meetings live to YouTube with the attendees/panelists commens on the right side of the screen:

DearMYRTLE has decided to do six weekly meetings, and then take two weeks off, and repeat the 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off.  So the meetings on the next three weeks are 1 April, 8 April and 15 April, and the 22 April and 29 April are the weeks off.  The next six-week series will continue starting again on 6 May.

I have taken part in all three meetings to date - I've discussed the Full-Text Search on FamilySearch on the 2023 RootsTech in-person syllabus articles (on 11 March); the MyHeritage DeepStory feature (on 18 March), and the 52 Relatives blog series (on 25 March).  Plus, I've been an opinionated panelist and frequent commenter.

The plan is to have a featured guest with an interesting product, look at panelists' research problems, and highlight websites, software, methodology, sources, etc.

Pat has also "resurrected" some of her hundreds of previous classes and study groups, and other videos, from her earlier YouTube channel.  Check them all out!!
