Randy's Cousins -- 10th cousin 1x Removed Gene Autry (1907-1998), the Famous Cowboy, Actor and Singer

 This week's famous cousin is Orvon Grover Eugene Autry (1907-1998), the famous cowboy, singer, actor and Major League Baseball owner.

When Orvon Grover Eugene Autry was born on 29 September 1907, in Tioga, Grayson, Texas, United States, his father, Delbert D Autry, was 21 and his mother, Flora Elnora Ozment, was 24. He married Ina Mae Spivey on 1 April 1932, in Duncan, Stephens, Oklahoma, United States. He was nicknamed the Singing Cowboy, was an American actor, musician, singer, composer, rodeo performer, and baseball team owner, who largely gained fame by singing in a crooning style on radio, in films, and on television for more than three decades, beginning in the early 1930s. During that time, he personified the straight-shooting hero — honest, brave, and true. He lived in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States for about 10 years and in Hollywood. He died on 2 October 1998, in Studio City, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 91, and was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States.
