Randy's Cousins -- 6th Cousin 3x Removed James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok (1837-1876), the Famous American West Soldier, Lawman, Gunslinger, Showman

This week's famous cousin is my 6th cousin 3x removed James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok (1837-1876), the famous folk hero, soldier, scout, lawman, cattle rustler, gunslinger, gambler, showman, and actor. 

Here is his FamilySearch Family Tree short biography:
When James Butler Hickok was born on 27 May 1837, in Troy Grove, LaSalle, Illinois, United States, his father, William Alonzo Hickok, was 35 and his mother, Pamelia Butler, was 32. He married Anna "Indian Annie" Wilson about 1867, in United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He lived in Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kansas, United States in 1855 and Johnson, Kansas, United States in 1857. He registered for military service in 1861. In 1868, his occupation is listed as deputy U.S. marshal in Kansas, United States. He died on 2 August 1876, in Deadwood, Lawrence, Dakota Territory, United States, at the age of 39, and was buried in Mount Morian Cemetery, Deadwood, Lawrence, Dakota Territory, United States.
