It's Treasure Chest Thursday - an opportunity to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history research and genealogy musings.
The treasure today is the 1683 death record for William Healy in the Cambridge, Massachusetts vital records book:The William Healy death record:
The extracted information for this record:
[HEALY] William, Nov. 28, 1683, a. 70 y.
The source citation for the William Healy record is:
Thomas W. Baldwin (compiler), Vital Records of Cambridge, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1915), Deaths, page 597, William Healy death entry, 28 November 1683, age 70 years.
William Healey (or Healy, Hely, etc.) was born about 1613, perhaps in Cornwood, Devon, England, perhaps the son of Thomas and Anne (Popple) Healey. William died 28 November in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay Colony. He married, as his 4th wife, Phebe Green (1628-1677) on 15 August 1661 in Cambridge, Massachusetts Bay Colony. They had three children.
William and Phebe (Green) Healey are my 9th great-grandparents, through their son Samuel Healey (1662-1732) who married Hannah Smith (1666-1793) as his first wife in 1685 in Salisbury, Massacusetts Bay Colony.
