The treasure today is the 1675 birth record for Samuell Willis in the Sudbury, Massachusetts vital record book: 
The birth record for Samuel Willis is in the middle of the Willis listings on page 155:
The transcription of the death entry is:
"[Willis] Sam[ue]ll, s. Rog[e]r and Ruth, Apr. 1, [16]75. M.R."
The source citation for this record is:
Vital Records of Sudbury, Massachusetts to the year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1903), Births, page 155, Samuell Willis entry, 1 April 1675, son of Roger and Ruth Willis.
This is a Derivative Source record which was extracted from an earlier Sudbury record book (no longer extant or available), for the birth of Samuel Willis in Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony. It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of the name of Thomas, the birth date and birth place, and the names of his parents.
Samuel Willis (1675-1758) was the son of Roger and Ruth (Hill) Willis of Sudbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony. He married (1) Experience Newell (1677-1703) in 1700 (no children), and married (2) Susannah Gleason (1676-1756) in about 1703, and they had four children. Samuel and Susannah (Gleason) Willis are my 7th great-grandparents, through their daughter Experience Willis (1707-1787) who married Isaac Read (1704-1780) in 1730.
