Treasure Chest Thursday - 1583 Baptism of Thomas Page in Ingham, Suffolk, England

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a time to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1593 baptism record for Thomas Page in the Ingham, Suffolk, England parish registers:

The baptism record for Thomas Page is the last entry on the page:

The transcription of the burial entry is:

" Thomas Page ye son of John Page was baptized ye 20'h of May [1593]"

The source citation for this record is:

Ingham, Suffolk, England Parish Register, Thomas Page baptism record, 20 May 1593; imaged, Ancestry.com   (https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/62751/images/62751_372055000018_2512-00024 : accessed 14 October 2026), "Suffolk, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812," > Ingham, 1538-1812 > page 19 (penned, image 23 of 148).

This is an image of an Original Source record in the Ingham Parish Register for the baptism of Thomas Page on 20 May 1593 in Ingham, Suffolk, England. It is Primary Information and Direct Evidence of  the names of Thomas Page and his father John Page, and the date and place of baptism.  While the baptism date is in 1593, the birth date for Thomas Page is probably circa 1586 based on his likely marriage in 1605 and birth of his first child in about 1607.

Thomas Page (c1586-1637) is my 10th great-grandfather, the son of John and (--?--) (--?--) Page  who married Susanna --?-- (c1586-1631) in about 1605 in Ingham, Suffolk.  I am descended through their daughter Susanna Page (c1614-1691) who married Thomas Gleson 1609-1686) in 1634.
