This week's Tuesday's Tip is: Use the 18 FamilySearch.org Record Collections for North Carolina.
There are 18 historical record collections for the state of North Carolina on FamilySearch.org. Check them out at https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list [Tip: type "north carolina" in the search field at the top left of the screen]:

There are five collections that don't have record images; the other 13 have record images.
There are seven collections that are Browse Images only, and the other 11 are indexed. For those Browse Images collections, users will have to look for indexes in the digitized record books, and use information from the index to find records for their research target.
The gems in this list of North Carolina record collections, to me, are the Estate and Probate Records. Those collections have the potential to solve research mysteries for researchers. The Estate Files are indexed, and the Probate files are not, but there are 96 counties with Probate files in that collection.

Thank you for highlighting these links on FamilySearch. As I am moving into this state for my paternal line in the 1700's, this will help me navigate more quickly.
