Pat Dintrone is Presenter at SDGS Program Meeting on Saturday, 10 June 2017

The June program meeting of the San Diego Genealogical Society (SDGS) will be on Saturday, 10 June 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church (8350 Lake Murray Blvd, at Jackson Drive, San Diego CA 92119).  

Pat Dintrone will be the presenter for both sessions.  Her presentation is:

10 a.m.:  "Using Computer Records to Locate and Use Microfilm Resources"


Pat's biography is:

Patricia Dintrone received her PhD in History from the University of Virginia in 1982 and spent most of her career as a faculty member at San Diego State University, with side trips to UCSD. After her retirement from SDSU she followed her interest in history into the world of genealogy, tracing her family roots back to Germany in the 1600s. Since 2011 she has been a volunteer consultant at the Family Search Library in Mission Valley. She has taught classes in using FamilySearch.org, accessing microfilm records, and the historical background of immigration, in addition to helping many individual clients discover their roots.

The SIG class at 9 a.m. in the upstairs classroom is "Computer Resources for Genealogy" with Peter Steelquist.  Seating is limited - please register at sdgsclasses@gmail.com if you plan to attend.
