Alexander Whittle (1818-1853) was the son of Alexander and Margaret (Mansley) Whittle, and was christened 4 January 1818 in Chorley, Lancashire. Rachel Morley (1821-1861) was the daughter of an unknown father and Jane (Haslam) (Bury) Morley, christened 25 December 1821 in Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire
Alexander and Rachel (Morley) Whittle are my wife's second great-grandparents. They were the parents of Jane Whittle (1847-1921) who married Elijah Pickrell McKnew (1837-1912) in 1865.
