Dozens of genealogy and family history bloggers write thousands of posts every week about their research, their families, and their interests. I appreciate each one of them and their efforts.
My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.
Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:
* Genealogy Tip: Revolutionary War Burial Records by Thomas Jay Kemp on the GenealogyBank Blog.
* How To Pull Genealogy Clues From Your Old Family Photographs by Lisa Lisson on the Are You My Cousin? blog.
* Jerry and Paul by Leah Larkin on The DNA Geek blog.
* More Clustering Tools by Kitty Cooper on Kitty Cooper's Blog.
* Eight on the Eighth by Jacqi Stevens on A Family Tapestry blog.
* Copyrights, Contracts, Commitments and Human Decency by Michael Lacopo on the Hoosier Daddy? blog.
* 7 Apps for Creating Your Family History Books by Prudence on the Fuzzy Ink Stationery blog.
* Grandma Vesta Lost Her U.S. Citizenship! by Nick Cimino on the AncestorPuzzles.com blog.
* Great Grandpa Was a Bird of Passage by DiAnn Iamarino on the Fortify Your Family Tree blog.
* Using Mortality Schedules: An Overlooked Source for Genealogy by Amy Johnson Crow on the Amy Johnson Crow blog.
* Genealogy Tip: What to Ask Mom on Mother’s Day by Gena Philibert-Ortega on the GenealogyBank Blog.
* The Professor Wrote My Family History by Michael Dyer on the Family Sleuther blog.
* DNA Sources, Information, and Evidence: Sorting it All Out by Robin Worthlin on the Family Locket blog.
Here are pick posts by other geneabloggers this week:

Did I miss a great genealogy blog post? Tell me! I am currently reading posts from over 900 genealogy bloggers using Feedly, but I still miss quite a few it seems.
