Treasure Chest Thursday - 1682 Birth Record of Richard Cutter (1682-1756) in Cambridge, Mass.

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1682 birth record of Richard Cutter in the Cambridge, Massachusetts Vital Record book:

The Richard Cutter entry is:

The transcription of this record is:

[CUTTER] Richard, s. of W[illia]m and Rebecca, Nov. 13, 1682

The source citation for this record is:

Thomas W. Baldwin (compiler), Vital Records of Cambridge, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 (Boston, Mass. : New England Historic Genealogical Society, 1915), Births, page 180, Richard Cutter entry.

Richard Cutter (1682-1756) was the son of William Cutter (1649-1723) and Rebecca Rolfe (1662-1751).  He married (1) Mary Pike (1687-1721) in 1706 in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and they had 8 children.  He married (2) Mercy Kelsey (1698-1760) in about 1722 in Woodbridge, and they had 6 children.

William and Rebecca (Rolfe) Cutter are my 6th great-grandparents.  I descend from Richard and Mercy (Kelsey) Cutter through their son, William Cutter (1722-1780) of Woodbridge, New Jersey, who married Mary Kent (1725-????) in about 1744.
