Treasure Chest Thursday - 1728 Dutch Reformed Church Marriage of Jacob Van Vorst and Anna Beck in Albany, New York

It's Treasure Chest Thursday - a chance to look in my digital image files to see what treasures I can find for my family history and genealogy musings.

The treasure today is the 1728 marriage record of Jacob Van Vorst and Anna Beck in the Albany, New York Dutch Reformed Church records:

The Jacob Van Vorst and Anna Beck marriage record is the 3rd one down the page:

The extracted data on this record is:

*  Date of marriage:  Feb[ruary] 14 [1728]

*  Parties:  Jacob Van Vorst & Anna Beck

*  Process:  banns

The source citation for this record is:

"U.S. Dutch Reformed Church Records from Selected States, 1639-1989," digital images, Ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com : accessed 26 June 2019), New York > Albany > "Albany, Vol II, Book 2," page 255 (stamped) (image 259 of 308), Jacob Van Vorst and Anna Beck marriage entry.

Jacobus Jillise Van Vorst (1703-1797?) was baptized 12 December 1703 in Schenectady's Dutch Reformed Church, the third child and third son of Jillis Jacobse Van Vorst and Elizabeth Janse Van Eps.  He married (1) Anna Beck (1704-1749), who was baptized 7 October 1704 in Schenectady, and died before 20 May 1749 in Schenectady, when Jacobus married (2) Sarah Fonda (1713-????).

Jacobus and Anna (Beck) Van Vorst are my 6th great-grandparents, through their daughter Anna Van Vorst (1732-1789) who married (2) John Kemp (1723-1795) in about 1758.
