I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! I found some more family photos hiding in my voluminous My Pictures file folder - This is one of my favorite photographs:
My first daughter, Lori, was born in May 1974. She was the first grandchild of my parents and Linda's parents. Linda's parents - whom we called Mama Lee and Papa Lee - came down after the birth to "help out."
In this May 1974 photo, Papa Lee is holding his first grandchild with a confident and loving look on his face. Papa Lee Leland was age 62 in this photo
The photo was probably taken at our first home on 755 Coleman Court in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego, south of Chula Vista. The room in the background may be the screened porch we had at that house.
I must have more photos of Mama Lee and Papa Lee over the years with our daughters - I will have to look for them in our photo albums.

Randy: I really enjoyed your article about GeneaNet and creating color fan charts. I have long done this for special events for my grandchildren and children by sending a GEDCOM file to a well known commercial genealogy chart company; but it has become fairly expensive. By being able to create the chart and export it to a PDF, I am certain I can get it printed commercially for much less. I had joined GeneaNet about 7 or 8 years ago; but don't think I had visited the site since. Thanks a lot for the excellent tip. . . . Del
