It's time for another edition of "Seavers in the News" - a weekly feature from the historical newspapers about persons with the surname Seaver that are interesting, useful, mysterious, fun, macabre, or add information to my family tree database.
This week's entry is from The Morning Post [ Camden, N.J.] newspaper dated 3 November 1942:
The transcription of the article is:

This obituary provides a name, an implied death date, a death place, an age, a burial location, and the names of his wife, children and siblings.
John Kitchen Seaver (1885-1942) was born in Paddington, England, the son of Thomas Jones and Salome (Kitchen) Seaver. He married Edith L. Robinson (1892-1975) in 1917 in Camden, New Jersey. They had three children:
* Robert Edwin Seaver (1918-2005).
* Mildred Margaret Seaver (1919-2014), married 1941 Warren F. Hoxworth (1918-1962).
* Clifford Norman Seaver (1920-2010), married 1984 June (Schmidt) (King) Gifford (1926-????0.
I am not related to John Kitchen Seaver through his Seaver line in England, to my knowledge. I have his parents family in my RootsMagic family tree, but cannot find the parents of his father, Thomas Jones Seaver (1841-1917), who was born in Belfast, Ireland.
There are over 9,500 Seaver "stories" in my family tree - and this was one of them. Life happens, accidentally and intentionally, and sometimes a person migrates to another country and raises a family there. I am glad that I can honor John Kitchen Seaver today.
You never know when a descendant or relative will find this blog post and learn something about their ancestors or relatives, or will provide more information about them to me.
