Best of the Genea-Blogs - Week of 21-27 March 2021

Scores of genealogy and family history bloggers write thousands of posts every week about their research, their families, and their interests. I appreciate each one of them and their efforts.

My criteria for "Best of ..." are pretty simple - I pick posts that advance knowledge about genealogy and family history, address current genealogy issues, provide personal family history, are funny or are poignant. I don't list posts destined for daily blog prompts or meme submissions (but I do include summaries of them), or my own posts.

Here are my picks for great reads from the genealogy blogs for this past week:

Charts to Understand Relationships With DNA Matches by Robin Wirthlin on Family Locket.

9 Ways To Effectively Find Obituaries in Online Newspapers by Kenneth Marks on The Ancestor Hunt.

PERSI - Not Just For U.S. Records by Donna Moughty on Irish Family Roots.

You, Too, Can Develop a Genealogy Super Power by DiAnn Iamarino on Fortify Your Family Tree.

Genealogy: A Family Affair! and (Part II) by Jessica Edwards on GenealogyBank Blog.

Was Your Ancestor a Freethinker? by Heather Wilkinson Rojo on Nutfield Genealogy.

No DNA Matches on Dad's Side? by Diahan Southard on Your DNA Guide.

Workday Wednesday - What Is a Snowman? by Diane Gould Hall on Michigan Family Trails.

Remember Their Names by Judy G. Russell on The Legal Genealogist.

The Do's and Don'ts of An Effective Genealogy Query by Julie Tarr on Genealogy In Action.

4 Mistakes Genealogists Make Researching Female Ancestors by Gena Philibert-Ortega on GenealogyBank Blog.

Level 3 Checklist -- Occupations, Residence, Children, Spouses by Yvette Hoitink on Dutch Genealogy.

Spring Cleaning Your Genealogy & Computer by Ellen Thompson-Jennings on Hound on the Hunt.

The Missing Child by Judith Batchelor on Genealogy Jude.

Here are pick posts by other geneabloggers this week:

*  Friday Fossicking 26th Mar 2021 by Crissouli on That Moment in Time.

This Week's Creme de la Creme - March 27, 2021  by Gail Dever on Genealogy a la Carte,

Readers are encouraged to go to the blogs listed above and  read their articles, and add the blogs to your Favorites, Feedly, another RSS feed, or email if you like what you read. Please make a comment to them also - all bloggers appreciate feedback on what they write.

Did I miss a great genealogy blog post? Tell me! I currently am reading posts from over 900 genealogy bloggers using Feedly, but I still miss quite a few it seems.
